LONG HOUSE

The elongated & narrow form of the site provides for an opportunity to explore the design possibilities of lineal driven spatial qualities, both inside and outside of this particular dwelling. Approaching from the entry foyer, a rock garden complimented with waterway stretches & flanks the entire length of the entry hallway, creating an illusion of a seamless outdoor connection.

The vast opening is protected with a continuous 20m long horizontal sun hood which further expresses the linearity of the design. The upper level deck is framed with concrete beams along the perimeter of the space to create a sense of enclosure whilst framing the outlook of the surrounding coast.
